Said dresser will go in my daughter's room which I just finished putting together.
The changes never end.....
Since the dresser is gray I decided to paint her little bedside table to match. It's been sitting there without hardware looking sad. This little table and it's twin belonged to my grandmother. My mom painted them years ago and they sat happily in my bedroom when I lived at home. Before painting every thing in sight was a fad, my mom was a beast with a brush and latex paint.
I decided to freshen one up for my little girl....
(Paris Gray & Old White)
In true Lori fashion, I had to embellish the top (I have an embellishment addiction)....
Such beautiful details were begging to be celebrated!
I am amazed the original skeleton keys have not been lost after at least 70+ years! They are so pretty....

Hi Lori! How are you? How is your pregnancy going so far? I had a quick question about your dresser redo - did you use chalk paint? Do you have any tips on how to paint your dresser? I was given a vintage piece and now want to repaint it...but I'm a little chicken too. lol It's such a great piece, that I'm afraid I might ruin it. I won some chalk paint from an old giveaway, and was going to use it for my project (paris grey & old white). Anyway, I hope you are doing well - take care & Happy 4th!

P.S. love the pics of your new place - it already looks SO GRAND!!! we live in a tiny 1600 sq. ft 1950's home that needs a lot of work!! so LOVE the space in your new home!!!
Wait, I just read in between the parenthesis that you did use chalk paint - and the same colors that I have! lol I love the hue on yours - did you mix the paint together? Oh gosh, it is sooo beautiful - if you have any tips on how to get it to look like that, pls let me know (my first time using chalk paint and painting furniture like this). If you want to read about my vintage piece - I wrote about it in one of my recent blog posts. You'll see why I'm a bit apprehensive to start...anyway, I shall digress, I think I've rambled enough!!! :) Have a great day!
Hugs,
Jessie
