Well, I'm just going to post this even though I don't feel like I'm really done with her room yet. I am a straggler with details. Yeah, I notice there aren't knobs on the bedside table. "Eventually" is my new theme.
If I wait for everything to be perfect it'll never get posted....so here it is THUS FAR
I plan to make a valance for this window seat to hang in front of the sheer drapes
Here is the hutch that I bought off Craigslist.
The way it was originally was the perfect primer coat. I didn't sand or anything. I just added a coat of dry-brushed paint over the existing because it was really white and really distressed. The extra coat really toned it down a bit. Then I added a chocolate glaze over the details for some depth.
I need to find suitable bin pulls for the 3 drawers....I'll find the right ones eventually....
Hi there! My name is Lori. I am a wife to a supportive, loving, and mighty handsome husband, mother to 1 equally handsome little boy and 1 cute-as-a-button little girl. I love design, photography, sewing, creating things with my hands, admiring anything beautiful, and the list goes on and on. You can usually find me wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby, browsing antique stores or junk shops, and constantly rearranging furniture and items in my home. It's an addiction and I fully confess to it! I love blog-stalking and being inspired by all the talented women/mommy bloggers out there that like doing the same things I do!!My blog title came from a Bible verse I feel represents the talents my Lord has given me. And the beeswax part, well, my last name begins with the letter "B" and sometimes I may drift into other subjects on this blog, hence the "and other beeswax", but mostly that title had me in stitches when I said it out loud and it stuck!Welcome to my little corner of the blog-world, friends.
